"Religion that is pure and undefiled before God and the Father is this: to visit orphans and widows in their affliction, and to keep oneself unstained from the world." - James 1:27
Project 1:27 is a small Catholic organization dedicated to supporting widows raising the dependent children of their deceased husband, particularly widows who attended Franciscan University of Steubenville.
Recipient families must be in financial need due to extraordinary circumstances, and the widow and her children must be living in Steubenville, Ohio, or nearby surrounding communities. The amount of assistance, if any, is determined by the Board of Trustees and dependent upon the availability of funds.
